The Christian Lifestyle
The Christian lifestyle is distinct from other pathways to morality, and necessitates a radical change. What is so distinctive about the Christian lifestyle, and how does it differ from other kinds of morality? 1) You do things because of who you are; 2) Christian morality has a distinct attitude toward the truth; and 3) Natural ability is not the basis for change, and therefore, failures have as much hope as successes.
This sermon was preached by Dr. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on January 13, 1991. Series: Christian Lifestyle. Scripture: Ephesians 4:25-32.

As a Christian who is going through a long period of suffering, I struggle with anger and bitterness. When I look at this pattern, though - I can see it’s roots deeply woven into the old me, like an addiction. This sermon helped me to see how God has liberated me from my past, and since I have new life, I’m no longer slave to those inclinations but free. Furthermore, it helped to see that my responsibility is to remember who I now belong to, and to pray that my actions and thoughts would not grieve my dear friend - the Ransomer of my soul. thank you very much, Dr. Keller, and the Holy Spirit at work through these words.
