Love and the Practical Graces
In the first sermon of this series, we’re going to look at 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 and ask these questions: What is heart character? What is inner love and joy? What is the inner supernatural change in character that God can bring?
This sermon was preached by Rev. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on January 13, 2002. Series "Practical Grace; How the Gospel Transforms Character". Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:1-8.

Thank you for this convicting message wbich I have gladly listened to twice and will share. We fall so short of what it means to be true loving Christians if we are not overflowing with Christ's grace. All the examples of behaviour and motives behind that behaviour really do uncover our egocentric I want to cry out "It's not about YOU and it's not about ME. It has to be all about HIM." Thank you for your help on this journey. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I'm in a really hard time over the last years. And this message sums up what I'm beginning to learn in the last ten month. It summarise how my Christian life can work, and how it can only work! I'm on my way to know what it means that Jesus lives in me. At one point I hope his love will flow through me ... I will listen to this pocast several times more. Thank you! And greetings from Germany.
